How does it work ? :
Android phones cannot measure altimeter directly. To measure altimeter you need third party application like this. With this application you can accurately measure altitude and pressure of any location around the world.
This app measure altitude with 2 techneque
- Location Altimeter : altitude is calculated using API. With help of your mobile's location the api provides the location altitude. Location is identified with latitude and longitude readings.
- Pressure Altimeter : With pressure altimeter, altitude is calculated using pressure sensor of your mobile. It is quite accurate as it marks with standard reading from nearest weather station.
Other app features :
- In-built altimeter camera : with altimeter camera, all photos clicked with provide location and altitude information displayed at the bottom of the photo clicked.
- Altimeter on map : this feature will show current location with altitude on map.
- History : app will display a time chart of altitude showing altitude readings through out the day. You can check past days with help of calendar.
